About me

Huddersfield Wedding Photographer / Designer

James Lloyd

Several years ago I was where you are now – engaged and looking looking for a professional photographer for my own wedding. I  trawled through Google and went to a couple of wedding fairs. This was going to be harder than I thought. A lot of the wedding images I saw uninspiring, unoriginal and, to be honest, a bit cheesy. Why couldn’t I find a photographer I really liked? What exactly was I looking for? This got me thinking that things could – and should – be done differently.

ABOUT MY STYLE

What I wanted for my wedding is how I work now. My photography is clean and natural, simple story telling following events and unique moments every wedding brings – no two weddings are the same, every couple brings something new to the mix.

I’m not about grand set-up shots, awkward posing and taking hours out of your day – and you certainly won’t find me ordering your guests around or getting in the way. I love being in the background capturing moments as they happen. Of course you may want something a bit more formal and some group shots (an absolute must for the parents), no problem, we can work those into the day – keeping it as simple as possible.

My aim is to tell the story of your day, to capture you, and your guests, at your most relaxed – coming together to celebrate your wedding day – and give you something to look back on for years to come.

I keep my wedding photography packages simple, great value, and with no hidden extras. I don’t have a high street studio so I can keep my prices low. I hate the traditional upsell in photography, holding your photos, and emotions, to ransom. That’s why I don’t do it. My prices are simply to photograph your wedding with or without an album. Either way, you’ll get a USB stick with all your wedding images, which you a free to print and share. I also include lower resolution images ready for sharing via email or Facebook.

I’m based in Huddersfield and regularly shoot weddings around Leeds, Wakefield, Harrogate, Skipton, Halifax, Bradford and Manchester, but can travel further afield if necessary.

So have at some of my recent weddings, see how I work, and if you want to meet up and have coffee, or simply to ask for more information, get in touch here or simply email: hello@jameslloyd.co.uk
