After a great engagement shoot with Jenny and Stephen at Almscliffe Crag, I was looking forward to covering their wedding at The Old Swan Hotel.
This historic hotel in the centre of the North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate was the venue for both the wedding and the reception. A fine venue with an amazing history, including the mysterious disappearance of Agatha Christie – who was found in the hotel after a national manhunt in 1926.
Although the rain came, there were plenty of great moments indoors – and the hotel’s Garden Room Conservatory was a splendid alternative and gave a hint of the outdoors. Jenny and Stephen couldn’t resist jumping on stage and struck a classic pose (see above), and later there was an impromptu game of badminton in the ballroom (have you ever seen a bride play badminton? You have now!).
This wedding had a great atmosphere of family and people had travelled from far and wide to share this fantastic day. Congratulations again to Jenny and Stephen.
