To celebrate and mark the start of Le Tour de France 2014 passing through Huddersfield, Emley Moor Mast (or the Arqiva Tower to give it it’s official name) was lit up for the occasion. I couldn’t resist getting my torch out, my feet a little muddy, and trudging though a few fields to get a few special shots of this spectacular event. As the tower is such a landmark, and the tallest freestanding structure in the UK, the light show could be seen for miles around. Perhaps they should make it a permanent feature on the Yorkshire skyline.
